SETUP GUIDE

Turn on hand histories once. Neo reads them from then on.

Every serious poker room can write a text file of every hand you play. Most players never switch it on. This page shows you where the setting lives in each room, where the files land, and what to point Neo at. Ten minutes, once.
About 10 minutes Permitted in every room here Files never leave your machine
BEFORE YOU START
Install Neo first
Download Neo for Mac, then open it before you choose a hand-history folder.
Know your screen name
Exact spelling and capitals. It is how Neo tells which player at the table is you.
Switch it on before you play
Rooms only write hands from the moment the setting is on. Last night’s session cannot be recovered.
THE THREE STEPS Same everywhere — only the menu names change
1 Turn on saving
In the room’s own settings, tick the option that saves hand histories to your computer. Not the emailed summary — the local files.
2 Note the folder
The same screen shows where files are written, and usually lets you change it. Copy that path, or set it somewhere you will remember.
3 Point Neo at it
Onboarding step 3 asks for the folder. Paste the path, Neo confirms the format, and it watches that folder from then on.

WHERE THE FILES LAND

Windows (coming soon)  %LOCALAPPDATA%\PokerStars\HandHistory\<screen name>
GGPoker
CASH AND TOURNAMENTS
GET YOUR HANDS
GGPoker does not save hands to your computer as you play. In PokerCraft, open Game History and download your hand histories. If they arrive as a zip, unzip them into a folder — Neo reads the .txt files.
ADD THEM TO NEO
Settings → Hands & Imports → Add account, then choose that folder. Neo recognises GGPoker and asks you to name the account, because GGPoker’s files call you “Hero” instead of your screen name.
AFTER EACH SESSION
Download again and save the files to the same folder. Neo watches it while it is open and imports anything new.
English No Limit Hold’em only. Your files must show your own cards, and hands with multiple runouts or straddles cannot be imported.
CoinPoker

GET YOUR HANDS
CoinPoker does not save hands to your computer as you play. In the CoinPoker client, open Game History and request a hand-history download. If it arrives as a zip, unzip it into a folder — Neo reads the .txt files.
ADD THEM TO NEO
Settings → Hands & Imports → Add account, then choose that folder. Neo recognises CoinPoker and asks you to name the account, because CoinPoker’s files call you “Hero” instead of your screen name.
AFTER EACH SESSION
Download again and save the files to the same folder. Neo watches it while it is open and imports anything new.
No Limit Hold’em only, with cash games in USDT. Your files must show your own cards, and Splash pots, straddles and run-it-twice hands cannot be imported.
WHEN IT GOES WRONG
The folder is empty
The setting was on but you have not played since. Rooms write the file when a hand finishes, not when you tick the box. Play one hand and check again.
Neo cannot find you at the table
The screen name is spelled differently from the one in the files. Fix it in Settings → Account and re-scan; nothing needs importing twice.
Two rooms, one folder
Give each room its own folder. Neo adds each room as a separate account and keeps their hands apart, so you can see which room a leak shows up in.
Nothing named yet
Neo waits until it has seen a spot often enough to be sure — roughly an evening of cash play, a little longer for tournaments. Under that it shows how many hands are still to come rather than guessing.
Set up, and still stuck?
Neo answers questions about itself, including this page. Ask it in the app, or read the compliance and privacy notes if you want to know why any of this is safe.
