PRIVACY POLICY
Your hands stay yours.
NEOpoker reads the hands you played somewhere else. That is sensitive material — it describes how you think at a table — so this policy is specific about where it lives, who can reach it, and what we will never do with it.
Last updated 3 September 2026 · Effective 3 September 2026 · Version 1.2
The short version
Your hand histories stay on your own computer. The app reads them locally. We do not upload them, and we could not hand them over if we were asked.
We never sell, pool or share your hands. Not with other players, not with the poker sites you play on, not with data brokers — and we do not train shared models on them.
The account holds almost nothing. An email address, your licence status, and whichever optional switches you turned on.
Analytics are optional and off unless you say yes. Crash reports are on by default because they fix bugs; you can turn them off in Settings.
You can delete everything. Imported hands, leaks, drills and NEO’s memory, from inside the app, without asking us.
1 · Who we are
NEOpoker is an initiative of Biggbird Games Limited, company number 107899, registered at Suites 7B & 8B, 50 Town Range, Gibraltar. Biggbird Games Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For anything relating to your data, write to privacy@neopoker.ai.
2 · What this policy covers
The NEOpoker website, the NEOpoker desktop application, and the account that connects them. It does not cover the poker sites you play on. Those are separate companies with their own policies, and nothing in this document changes your relationship with them.
3 · What we hold, and where
The distinction that matters most is between what sits on our servers and what never leaves your machine.
On our servers
Account data. Your email address, the name you choose to use, the date you created the account, and the details needed to keep you signed in. Outseta handles your password; NEOpoker never receives or stores it.
Subscription status. Which plan you are on, when it renews, and whether you are part of the beta programme. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach us.
Support correspondence. Anything you send us, kept until the matter is closed and for 12 months after.
Optional diagnostics. Crash reports, plus website and app usage analytics only when you allow them.
Only on your computer
Imported hand histories. Read from the folder you chose. They are never uploaded.
Your analysis. Leaks, rankings, session reviews and drill results are all computed and stored locally.
Your poker screen names. Held locally so the app knows which hands are yours.
NEO conversations. Chats are not stored as transcripts. What NEO keeps is a short memory of facts about your game, which you can read and delete.
4 · How NEO uses your hands
Analysis happens on your machine. When you ask NEO a question, a small amount of context — the spot being discussed, the relevant statistics, the memory it holds about your game — may be sent to our AI provider to generate the answer. Whole hand histories are not sent, and we instruct our providers not to retain the content or train models on it.
If you would rather NEO kept no memory at all, turn off Let NEO learn from your chats in Settings. NEO still works; it will simply start each conversation without the background.
5 · What we will never do
Sell, rent or trade your personal data or your hand histories.
Pool your hands with other players’ hands to build a shared database, or expose your statistics to anyone else.
Report you, your results or your play to the poker sites you use.
Use your hands to train a model that other players benefit from.
Advertise to you based on how you play.
6 · Why we are allowed to hold it
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR we rely on three legal bases. Contract — we need your account and subscription data to give you the product you paid for. Consent — for optional usage analytics and for NEO’s memory. You can withdraw website analytics consent below and app analytics or NEO memory consent in Settings. Legitimate interests — for crash reports, security and fraud prevention, and for keeping records of payments as the law requires.
7 · Who we share with
Only the suppliers who make the product run, and only what each one needs: Outseta for sign-in and account management, a payment processor for subscriptions, an email provider for account messages, an AI provider for NEO’s answers, PostHog for optional product analytics, Rewardful for optional affiliate attribution, and providers for hosting and error reporting. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement. We do not share with anyone else unless the law compels us, and we will tell you if that ever happens unless we are prohibited from doing so.
A current list of processors is available on request from privacy@neopoker.ai.
8 · How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When you close it, we delete the active account data held by us and our account provider. Deleted information may remain in protected backups for up to 14 days before those backups expire. We keep payment records for 6 years where the law requires it. Usage analytics linked to your account are removed during account closure. Crash reports are kept for up to 12 months. Data stored on your Mac stays there until you choose Settings > Delete local data. Closing your account or deleting the app does not remove that data for you.
9 · Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive it in a portable format. Write to privacy@neopoker.ai and we will answer within one month.
You can remove your hands, analysis, Academy progress, drills, NEO conversations and memory, settings, and recordings from NEOpoker by choosing Settings > Delete local data. Your original hand-history files and selected folders stay untouched. If you also want to close your online account, delete the local data first and then email support@neopoker.ai. Once the account is closed, it can no longer sign in to remove data from your Mac. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or your national supervisory authority in the EU — though we would rather you told us first.
10 · Cookies and the website
The website uses the storage it needs to keep you signed in and remember your privacy choices. Website analytics and affiliate tracking are optional and can be chosen separately. If you allow analytics, PostHog stores a browser identifier and receives page names and a small set of journey events such as viewing pricing, starting sign-up, and downloading the app. These analytics events do not include form entries, email addresses, query strings, poker data, or session recordings. If you allow affiliate tracking, Rewardful stores a referral cookie to remember the partner who referred you and attribute your sign-up or purchase. Outseta passes the referral identifier during registration, and Rewardful uses the connected payment service to calculate partner commissions. You can change your choices below. Turning off affiliate tracking clears the referral cookie on this browser and reloads the page to stop tracking; it does not undo attribution already recorded. Refusing either option does not prevent sign-in or purchases. The desktop app does not use cookies.
11 · Security, transfers and age
We use encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and access controls limiting staff access to what their job requires. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the regulator within the time the law allows.
Some of our processors operate outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, transfers are covered by adequacy decisions or the standard contractual clauses.
NEOpoker is for adults. It is not directed at under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a minor has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
12 · Changes to this policy
If we change anything material we will email you and update the version at the top of this page before the change takes effect. Continuing to use NEOpoker after that date means you accept the revised policy.
